- Nathan Benderson Park: This amazing 600-acre park is home to 2017’s World Rowing Championships. The paved loop around Benderson park is 3.5 miles long. It is opened to the public and offers year-round recreational opportunities for everyone of all ages. Enjoy biking the beautiful trail with views of the 400-acre lake throughout. It is also pet friendly so if you’re not up for a bike ride it would be the perfect place to take a stroll with your four-legged friend.
- Robinson’s Preserve: This preserve is 487 acres and what started out as a disturbed farmland has turned transformed into protected coastal and wetland habitat. This preserve has trails throughout leading you to stunning views of the Manatee river. You can even park your bikes at one point on the trail and head up to the tower and catch a glimpse of the Skyway bridge. There are plenty of other activities to do as well such as kayaking, running, fishing and more.
- Myakka State Park: Looking to witness and explore a diverse park, look no more, this is the place for you. With 7 miles of paved road you will bike through shady hammocks of trees, grassy marshes, and find yourself along the upper lake shore. This trail is not among the easiest but is for sure a great sightseeing experience. There are also plenty of other activities to enjoy here as well.
